Project: Erection of single storey side extension and extension to existing timber framed garage at 3 Oak Farm Barns
This project gained planning approval and listed building consent for anextension to an existing barn. The proposed scale, design and appearance of the extension to the dwelling and the car port will respect the existing character of the dwelling and will not result in visual impact or cause any detrimental impact on neighbouring properties. Therefore the proposal is in accordance with the NPPF and Core Strategy policies CS5, CS6, CS17, and Samdev Policies MD2, MD12 and MD13 of the Shropshire LDF.
Poject: Lammas Barns - Erection of single storey rear extension
For this bespoke extension we initially receieved refusal from Telford & Wrekin Council. We did however Appeal against the refusal to the Planning Inspectorate as we felt the Plannig Departnnt had not considerd the design or the location of it correctly.
The Appeal was allowed and the approved scheme allowed or a a new ground fkoor rear kitchen extension with a full height glazed feature to mimmick the hay loft gable feature found on many traiditionaI conclude that the proposed development would be acceptable in character and appearance terms and would not conflict with the character, appearance, design and conservation requirements of policies BE1 and BE2 of the Telford and Wrekin Local Plan 2011-2031 and chapters 12 and 16 of the Framework.barns.
